On Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 ( Easter Sunday) April 2026, handball club Jupiter ’76 from Franeker will organize the international indoor handball tournament for the “Jupitercup” for the 33rd time. This big tournament will take place in sports complex “De Trije” in Franeker.
This complex has 4 playing fields under one roof and on both days ca. 1.000 players will compete for the famous JupiterCup. The tournament is organized for youth and senior players in 4 age categories and specified in the invitation letter. In 2025, teams from Denmark, Germany, France and, of course, the Netherlands participated. Both ladies and gentlemen will be played in four age categories:

Of course we take care in addition to the handball also for entertainment. For example, on Friday we will have a disco night, which will take place in the sports complex. Saturday night we will plan a surprise activity for the youth. this is free for the youth. Local hospitality entrepreneurs provide entertainment for the adults on Saturday night. At the conclusion of the tournament we will, of course, have the awards ceremony and on Sunday evening we will close the tournament with a smashing Goodbye Party.
The goal is to be able to give you final notice by Jan. 19, 2026, as to whether or not your association can participate in this tournament.
Registration for the 2026 Jupiter Cup is possible until December 31, 2025 at the latest.
